FIVE HUNDRED YEARS TO AUSCHWITZ - A Family Odyssey
from the Inquisition to the Present
‘Setting out to publish your own book is a daunting
and expensive experience. It is a risk which some of
us authors are prepared to take, after having suffered
rejections from several publishers. There are many people
out there who are happy take advantage of our distress
and to relieve us of an excessive amount of our money
for very little return, in the guise of "publishing"
our book. However, there are a very few professionals
who would like to help us to produce a book, in the
way in which we wish to see it and at a reasonable cost
and with reasonable conditions – i.e no restrictive
contract terms.
One of these is Neil de Cort. When I first approached
Neil, I already had a good experience of self-publishing
and so I knew what sort of service I wanted. Neil offered
me everything to make the experience rewarding and also
enjoyable. A very experienced book production manager,
he has all the best contacts for copy-editing, typesetting,
cover-designing, printing and everything else. He is
a marvelous person to work with, because he considers
your needs and takes into consideration your budget.
Best of all, he is an instant communicator – you
rarely have to wait more than an hour or two for a response
to emails. He offers a stress-free collaboration of
the highest standard. Personally, I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend him to anybody wishing to publish their
own book.
I am delighted with the result of the book which I published
with his help: FIVE HUNDRED YEARS TO AUSCHWITZ - A Family
Odyssey from the Inquisition to the Present, which you
can read about on my web site": http://www.btinternet.com/~irene.lawford/

Not
Another... Atlas

We didn’t know who to ask, we didn’t understand
‘the system’; we were writers with an idea
but what next? We can honestly say Neil came to the
‘rescue’. Calm, knowledgeable , efficient
but most importantly, supportive , he offered very sound
advice based on his years of experience but he never
tried to take over – we felt in control of our
work at all times – the decisions remained ours.
He was patient when we changed our minds too –
as beginners we were not always as precise as we should
have been – he took all this in his stride.
Neil is able to offer as much or as
little as anyone needs, everything was always very clear
with no unnecessary waffle. We never had to wait for
his work, he kept us focussed and everything moved quickly
and efficiently.
We can unreservedly recommend Neil
to anyone wanting help in preparing a book for publishers
or to publish themselves. We are now ready to send our
work out to potential publishers feeling proud of the
professional looking package Neil helped us put together.
